Super CoQ10
Super CoQ10 features a unique combination of ubiquinol and trans-geranylgeraniol (GG). The GG complements the actions of ubiquinol by enhancing absorption and supporting endogenous CoQ10 synthesis naturally in the body.
What are synergistic ingredients?
Super CoQ10 features a unique combination of ubiquinol and geranylgeraniol (GG), two physiologically essential molecules with complementary and synergistic actions. GG complements the actions of ubiquinol due to its unique ability to boost endogenous coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10) synthesis and efficient cellular permeability.
Ubiquinol is the reduced form of CoQ10 and is provided as DuoQuinol™, an innovative, patent-pending form of this molecule from American River Nutrition (ARN).
Geranylgeraniol (GG) is an important endogenous molecule in human physiology — it is a precursor in the synthesis of ubiquinol and many other functional cell metabolites and signaling molecules. GG is a naturally occurring terpenoid in a variety of plants and serves as a precursor to essential components, such as carotenoids. The GG in DuoQuinol™ is GG-Gold™, a patented form also from ARN.
Why take a CoQ10 supplement?
CoQ10 occurs naturally in certain foods (especially animal foods such as red meat, poultry, and seafood), but the vast majority is produced inside the body. GG is also produced endogenously, which means inside the body. This internal synthesis may not always be sufficient, particularly in individuals taking pharmaceutical drugs that affect the pathway by which CoQ10 is produced.
Synthesis of CoQ10 and GG declines naturally during aging and the use of certain pharmaceutical drugs (particularly for treating high cholesterol and osteoporosis) inhibits its synthesis, potentially resulting in a need for supplementation.
What is the recommended dosage?
Take one soft gel per day with a meal, or as directed by your healthcare practitioner. Note: This formula is best absorbed with a meal. For maximum bioavailability, multiple doses should be taken at different times of the day.
