Turmeric’s powerful curcuminoids have been shown to reduce the inflammatory mediating prostaglandins, cytokines and other molecules such as interleukin-6, tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-alpha) and Nuclear Factor kappa Beta NFkB (3). The Benefits of Liposomal Curcumin:
As a clinician, I highly recommend my clients use turmeric in their daily diet. However, the curcuminoids are poorly absorbed into the bloodstream (10). Turmeric root only contains about 1.8% dry weight curcumin and the native chemical form of curcumin is only about 1.5% absorbed. Making your own turmeric pasts etc is good but unfortunately it is NOT going to be biologically beneficial.
